Description of a place (Isabel Mendoza)

SANTELMO

Santelmo is a beautiful place by the sea. I use to spend lots of time in summer with my friends. This place is our paradise.

Santelmo is at the end of a road, between mountains,that are next to the sea .This small fishing village, is protected by a small islet a few metres from the coast and the larger island of La Dragonera. The wild but magnificent Dragonera, a location of stunning summer sunsets and rare creatures, was declared a natural reserve in 1985.

The charm of this pleasantly simple village are the fishermen's houses built directly at the sea's edge. San Telmo is famed for its fish & paella restaurants and during the summer weekends you can see lots of yachts in the port.

In Santelmo, there are many , hidden, beautiful coves and there are two sandy beaches, one large and one small, which in summer is crowded with tourists, but always, every year, we have our place, a small corner of the beach . Besides the beach, we like to go a small bar called "Poropo", a meeting place for many evenings.

Finally, I would like to say that the only thing I don't like about Santelmo, are the new buildings that have destroyed our paradise...

A NARRATIVE ( AINA FABIANO)

One of the most important events in my life was when I celebrated my seventeenth birthday . Celebrating birthdays is one of the things I like most, I guess it is because every teenager wants to feel older, until he reaches the age "of not wanting to get older".
I remember it as if it was just yesterday, my mom woke me up singing .."Happy Birthday to you.., Happy Birthday to you .." with a muffin in her hand with a candle to blow. It was a very nice waking-up because I did not expect it.
I was also very happy because my friends made a surprise party for me. Some time later, as every year , the whole family ate together and then I went with my best friend to the movies and shopping. I soon found out that she took me shopping to distract me as they were planning a surprise party in a store.
I had a very good time and I forgot about all the problems and I felt really good. When I got home my friend told me that I should dress quickly and she soon blindfolded me and made me get into a car. In about ten minutes we reached our destination and I did not hear anything or anyone. I was very excited and intrigued because I did not know what was waiting for me there.
I went into the place and when I removed the blindfold,everything was dark and suddenly I heard people shouting, "Surprise!!!!" There were lots of people, even people I didn't expect to see. It was a fun night full of dancing, laughter, cute boys, they all drank too much,and well I don't have to specify how the night ended right? you can imagine...
Just got home I got into bed with clothes.. and everything!

Description of a place (Tomeu Porcel)

There is a is a beautiful and unique place near my house called "La Trapa". Boats visit its waters and say hello to the green trees that surround it.

When the wind blows strongly, you can see the fish trying to reach its bank; nevertheless, they can't do it, because the waters reclaim them like a treasure. I feel good there because I can relax.

When I was a child, I used to go there some afternoons after school and now I use to go with my horses. I used to lie down on a big stone, to see the sunset and listen to sound of the quiet waves near me. Then I could imagine all the marine creatures singing from the deep sea. Sometimes, the sun seemed angry, boldly turning red and yellow. Perhaps it didn't want to leave this amazing place. When the darkness covered the sky, I walked on the bank and looked at the moon reflected on the water. On one occasion I tried to touch it, but I just got my hand full of salty water. I saw the clouds reflected in my hand, and when I breathed, I felt the pure air in my lungs. A sweet flavor filled my whole body.

It is a really relaxing place where one can just lie down on the ground, close your eyes, breathe deep inside and imagine a lot of places, things, colors, and so on...
Sometimes the music of the nature helps me.It depends on how I am.I love this moment. My mind is going to open, and I feel very good.

Right now every year there are thousands of tourists who travel and visit La Trapa. I am very happy that people like the place, but I'm afraid that people could pollute it because La Trapa is a very important place in my heart.

I hope La Trapa will be beautiful forever and ever!
