1st Present: Mind

"Everything changes in time"
This is one of my favourite quotes.
I think there is so much truth in these 4 words.
Life will always change and we have to keep that in mind and should be open for new things...We shouldn´t depend on anything or anyone, because it won't be forever, nothing is forever.
It may sound quite negative, but i think that we get used to changes easily. And an end of something doesn´t have to be a bad thing, it can mean opening doors for new things.
And it can also give a new perspective to see what is really important for one at the moment, or generally in life.
2nd Present : Emotions

I´ve chosen " Speeding cars" from Imogen Heap
This song makes me sad and very happy at the same time.
It reminds me of myself at the age of 12-13 and also of my friendship to my dear friend Ana.
It was when we did everything for the first time, all those things one goes through in the teenage years, like the first crush, embarrassing moments, tears and fears, but also laughing and having extraordinary moments.
It makes me happy knowning that I´ve shared those moments with her, but it also makes me sad because i know we can never go back there to those innocent years where everything was felt so exciting and new. It was the beginning of a long journey. The journey of growing-up.The journey of life.
Back then, we did everything possible to grow-up faster, if only we knew before about all the obligations that come with adulthood, maybe then we wouldn´t have rushed it and enjoyed for a while longer this " childhood" we had.
These moments when we shouted and hid in our rooms.
But that´s alright just like the quote from above "everything changes in time" i now wouldn´t like to go back to those times because the second time is never as much fun.
To finish, i would like to tell you , that there are so many exciting phases in life, that repeating one would be a waste :-)
3rd Present.
I chose paris because it´s the only place i could imagine writing a poem about.I think Paris has inspiration in every corner.

Paris can you hear me?
Paris can you see?
I have a rendez-vous at Gare du Nord,
In the coldest of nights, oh Lord.
We´re hitting the road,
our hearts are filled with excitment.
Was it last night ago,
when you said you loved me so?
Love doesn´t grow on trees,
But my home grew up in Paris.
Paris is for lovers, dreamers and forgivers,
The streets, the avenue, the Seine shivers.
He has every part,
of Paris in his heart.
Every Rue goes up in a flame,
when he calls my name
Paris´s remarkable light,
makes me happy until midnight.
Then I see the Tore Eiffel breath taking as ever,
Reminding me of the romance I´ve lost for forever,
We got lost on the road,
Too many days of cold haevy rain,
Killed our self-named, everlasting flame,
And left us with lonesome pain.
It seems like Paris has lost trace,
Of this pure romantic heart-shaped phase,
Since our love started to decay,
Nothing ever, ever goes my way.
Paris, can´t you hear me?
Paris, can´t you see?
Nice song! I really like Imogen's voice!
ResponderEliminardid YOU write the poem about Paris?
If you didn't...who's the author?
