HEALTH (by Naika Mendívil)

To start I want to introduce myself. My name is Naika, I am seventeen years old and I was born on 20th of January in Palma de Mallorca.

I’ve got a lot of hobbies as reading, dancing or meeting friends but what I like the most is going to drink a hot chocolate in a rainy day. I think I am on the age of doing that whenever I want because in a few years I will have to control strictly what eat.

From my point if view, health is one of the most important things in the life of a person. I think that healthy eating and daily exercise are very important to keep fit and to have a good health.

I believe that following a varied diet is necessary because according to the experts on nourishment every type of food from the nourishment pyramid brings something different to our organism. For example: bread and pasta are carbohydrates which help us to be more energetic, fruit and vegetables have vitamins and fibre which helps us to digest better the food and so on.

In my opinion doing exercise every day is necessary too to have good health. Doing a sport frequently or running half an hour every day is a good way of keeping fit. But it exists the other face of the coin, when I say that I am referring to that people who are obsessed with practising sport. I think that is as unhealthy doing too much sport as not doing it at all.

In conclusion, for me, health is a mix of different of things: daily exercise, healthy eating, getting enough sleep, positive thinking, etc.
We only have one body and it is for all our life so we must take care of it.
